Mount Batur is an active volcano in northern Bali, standing 1,717 meters high. It is located in a caldera approximately 14 km in diameter, in the Kintamani area, near Lake Batur. The ascent of Mount Batur is accessible to trekking enthusiasts and takes about 1.5–2 hours. Its last eruption occurred in 1964; the volcano occasionally emits steam and ash. Mineral hot springs at the foot provide an opportunity to relax after the climb.
